Executive Team

The executive team is the main governing body at Feralpi. It operates under the leadership of the Managing Director and is responsible for the Group's general business affairs and operations.

Born in 1965, and with ESF Elbe-Stahlwerke Feralpi GmbH in Riesa since January 2021, initially as CFO and, since June 2021, as CEO. After completing his secondary education with the university entrance qualification (Abitur), he trained in industrial commerce specialising in business management and controlling at Salzgitter Maschinenbau GmbH (SMAG) from 1984 to 1986, and subsequently worked there for five years in the commercial sector. He then spent several years as a management consultant at MWM Unternehmensberatung GmbH.

From 1994 to 1998, he was Commercial Director and Authorised Officer at Wildauer Kurbelwelle GmbH, after which he worked for the Georgsmarienhütte Group (GMH) as Managing Director of the companies Schmiedewerke Gröditz GmbH, Schmiedag GmbH and Kranbau Köthen GmbH.

After graduating with a degree in Materials Engineering from Trento University, he worked in various areas at the Falk Group, including product research and development, product and process quality control, and was responsible for the steel mill in Bolzano. Subsequently joined the Feralpi Group and is now Manager of the Special Steels Business Unit, Coordinator for R&D Projects and Technological Development, and Strategic Investment Coordinator in the Feralpi Group.

He sits on the Board of Directors of Feralpi Siderurgica SpA and Acciaierie di Calvisano SpA, and is also the Managing Director of Caleotto Spa.

Speaker and co-author of several science & technology papers for international conferences, was Vice Chair of ASSIM (Italian Association of Materials Engineers) and Vice Chair of AIM (Italian Association of Metallurgy).

He lectures on steel plants and metallurgy in higher education courses, has also carried out R&D activities with shared responsibilities for a three-year research project at the RFCS (Research Fund for Coal and Steel) initiative named CO2 Reduction Reheating Furnaces, and is involved in other EU R&D projects.

Born in 1966, after graduating in Business Economics from Venice's Ca’ Foscari University, he started working at Bofrost*, a leader in frozen foods, and was responsible for managing the commercial department and the warehouse, then management control. Positions with increasing responsibilities in major companies followed. At Elica (kitchen hood company) he led an IPO, which resulted in listing on the stock market, as a preliminary step to internationalisation.

He joined DeLclima (air conditioning) as CFO, Investor relations manager, CEO of various Group companies, and manager of the Mitsubishi Electric integration project. Became CFO of the Stevanato Group (Pharma & Healthcare).

He has been the Chief Financial Officer & Executive Team Coordinator in the Feralpi Group since 2020.

During his professional career he has lectured in Finance and Management Control on the Master's Degree in International Management course at various national and international establishments, including ISTAO in Ancona, the Asian European Institute of University of Malaya and Kuala Lumpur, CUOA and Venice's Ca’ Foscari University.

Born in 1953, he graduated with a degree in Political Sciences and a Master's in Business Management from Bocconi University in Milan.

After graduating, he took his first professional steps in the financial sector, performing management roles in different areas, including abroad.

Companies included Ciba-Geigy Italia (chemical industry), Sanofi (pharmaceuticals) and Sanpellegrino (mineral water).

Following experience gained in the Legler Group (textiles), he joined Feralpi halfway through the 1990s.

Formerly financial and managing director of the Feralpi Group, he became director of some of the Group’s companies in Italy and Europe, and a member of the Executive Team.

Since 2020 he has been the Director of the Diverse Products Business Unit.

Born in 1971, after obtaining a degree in Management Engineering from the University of Padua, he enriched his education with a European Master's in Environmental Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Turin (1996) and later with an Executive MBA from SDA Bocconi (2009).

In his previous experiences, he collaborated with the National Agency for Environmental Protection (Rome), the consulting firm Sogesca, and the certification body ICIM.

In 2008, he joined Feralpi Siderurgica as the Head of the Environmental and Safety Office. In 2013, he became the Plant Director of the same company, a role he held until 2021. In that year, he became the CEO of Presider and in 2022, the President of Presider Armatures.

Since 2022, he also holds the position of Head of the Ecological and Energetic Transition Unit at Feralpi Group.

Edoardo Zanardelli

Born in 1979, he graduated in Economics and Commerce at the University of Brescia and began his professional career at EY, one of the world's "big-four" in auditing and consulting, becoming its Audit Manager. This was followed by the experience in Energetic Source, a major company in the trading and supply of electricity and gas to private individuals in the centre-north, as Administration and Control Manager.

In 2015, he joined the new joint-venture Caleotto in the role of Administration, Finance and Control Manager (CFO). Following the acquisition of 100% of the company by Feralpi Group and the greater integration with the parent company Acciaierie di Calvisano, he assumed roles of increasing responsibility until he became Director of Feralpi Group's Business Unit Specialties.

The Board of Directors has a strategic role and applies the principle of financial sustainability to every Feralpi operation.

Our Board of Auditors oversees the work of the directors and ensures the transparency of company management.

Internal audit and risk management

We have a set of organisational rules and structures that enable us to identify and measure the main company risks within the Group framework.
